Rescue Springer Spaniels I first contacted Will after one of my Springer Spaniels went deer chasing for a few hours on Christmas Day 2009 and I decided enough was enough. I had by then, had my two rescue springers for around 6 months and called in Will who I had previously met on a walk whilst he was training other dogs. Both dogs were well-behaved at home but I had little control whilst on walks with them. Not only did Will help me with training them (and me!!), he has taught me to stay calm in all situations - of which I have encountered a few. Thanks to the help of Will I now have two calm springer spaniels and a calmer owner/pack leader. I would highly recommend him. By dragzil Westbury
Nervous rescue dog We had heard of Will through some work colleagues, but didn't have a name, so with the help of Google and his good reviews on this page, we rang him. What a lovely man, who was great at putting us at ease over the phone. We arranged our first visit with him, feeling slightly nervous, but he was great. Our dog, Hope, who we rescued from Bath with hardly any background information as she was a stray, was a nervous wreck! We were at the point that we thought she could bite someone, and the last thing we wanted was what people would say is a dangerous dog. But with Will's help and our hard work we are turning a corner, she is confident when out and about, mixing with others dogs and not so frightened of people. We still have some way to go but we know that we will get there. Will makes you feel at ease and he is here to help you and your dog. He has an amazing gift! Ruling the Roost We had a 4 year old British Bulldog and 2 year old Chihuahua ruling the roost in our household. In one session Will had taken control of our dogs and given us the confidence to be the leader of our pack. By week 3 my dogs were off the lead and coming back on command. Thank you We met Will whilst he was out walking with his dogs and some of his clients and their dogs. We have a rescue dog and little knowledge of his background. He was 18 months old when we brought him home. All was going well for 3 months and then we hit a brick wall as to how to progress further and lucky for us that was when we encountered Will! Having chatted and been very impressed, I asked for a business card. That was 3 months or so ago and wow, what an improvement, in both my dog and me! Will has a natural affinity with dogs and helps the owners to understand their behaviour and correct any flaws. He instils confidence with good humour and patience. He has the welfare of the dogs at heart and goes those extra miles to advise and support the owners. Over Boisterous/Dominant Boxer x 2 Will was recommended to me following an incident whilst out with my two boxers which left me in no doubt that I had little control over them and left me nervous about taking them out. I got to the point where I walked them on Haltis and only let them run around when there were no other dogs, people, cattle, sheep or birds around. I now have two calm, obedient, healthy boxers who are a pleasure to walk with .... no Haltis ... leads only. Will has a gift and it's reading and correcting dogs behaviour. Wandering Springer Spaniel My 3 year old Springer was very difficult to re-call after a walk and if she got a scent, impossible to stop. I contacted Will, he did an assessment and gave some pointers. He did say that it would take a while but now she is a pleasure to take out. Will was always on time and offered his honest advice. I would use Will again, he is more a friend now. Thanks Will. Coco and Molly We have 2 puppies, one about 18 months and one just over a year old. Will has helped tremendously with the timid Molly (18 months old) in bringing confidence to her and training her to respond to whistle commands. He has also helped with the over-exuberant Coco to make these young dogs the best of companions. We would not hesitate to recommend Mr Davies as a dog trainer and behaviourist. Relief and Renewed Confidence I cannot rate WILL DAVIES highly enough. He is professional, kind, happy and totally in control of my dog (hooray)! He started training Scoobles (and me), about 6 weeks ago, and I have a calmer happier and more trustworthy companion. Scooby now comes back to the whistle and changes direction on a sixpence! We are now able to join Will's pack-walk up on the plains, which is helping his socialisation and confidence amongst other dogs. I am happier taking him out knowing I need to continue breathing when we come upon small fluffy friends, and ready to call him back if I think his intentions may not be friendly! Rescue King Charles Cavalier A few weeks ago my wife and I acquired a King Charles Cavalier rescue dog named Maggie. She was a seriously disturbed dog with behaviour problems. She was very nervous would not walk on a leash and would not approach us - she just shied away from any kind of contact with us, so we decided to find a dog trainer and came across Will Davies on Yell.com. Will has been helping us with Maggie and she is now a totally different dog. She is happy and now enjoys walks on a leash and is slowly becoming the happy loving dog she should be and it is all thanks to Will Davies. We can not thank him enough and would recommend him to anybody who needs help with their dog. He is so dedicated to helping both the dogs and their owners to achieve the best results possible. Five Days In We contacted Will about our 7 month old Labradoodle, Enzo, who was growling at people, particularly when I was sitting with him on lead and occasionally at my children when he was near me and in other situations. The moment Will entered my house, the dog was calm and rested on the floor beside him. This put me at ease! That was 5 days ago. Since then I have listened to Will and implemented the house rules he suggested. I have also read his book - which is an easy, sensible read - and my new treasure. Long and short - I took my dog out this morning and sat on a bench in town and waited for a stranger to sit there - a slight growl and a look for reassurance from me, check of the lead and 20 glorious minutes of multiple people sitting, rising and passing and not a peep from my dog, sitting pretty and happy. He is calm in the home and now knows that my children are his master also. He still enjoys cuddles in the evenings and great grooming sessions, all of which Will has helped me with.
